About Tom Yawkey
For those unfamiliar, Tom Yawkey owned the Boston Red Sox and was a significant benefactor in Georgetown County. He acquired large portions of land, including South Island, North Island, and areas along the Black River. His deep commitment to conservation and community led to the creation of the Yawkey Wildlife Center and Tara Hall, a home for boys. Belin has maintained a long-standing relationship with Tara Hall, honoring Yawkey’s legacy of giving. Upon his passing, Yawkey bequeathed his land to the people of South Carolina, ensuring its preservation and benefit for future generations.RSVP Information
