In 1925, a church was founded in Murrells Inlet, SC, and it was named in memory of the Rev. James Lynch Belin. On Sunday, January 19, 2025, Belin Memorial UMC will hold our Centennial Celebration. The four regularly scheduled services will be held, with a special focus on the day of celebration. At 12:30 PM, following the 11 AM services, we will gather at the site of our 1925 sanctuary for a short prayer ceremony. We will then proceed to the Family Life Center for a fellowship gathering where we will greet our special guests, enjoy a “lite lunch” catered by Inlet Affairs, see Belin Memorial history in photos, books, and video, and visit the “100 Years of Joy” room with period toys for children and the young at heart.
- Family Life Center event tickets are $10 per adult, and children are free. Starting December 19, tickets can be purchased at the church office, in the Family Life Center, online by clicking HERE.
