Bereaved Parents’ White Carnation Launch
Honoring Our Heavenly Children: A Special Mother’s Day Event
We invite bereaved families in our local community to come together in remembrance and support at a special Mother’s Day event hosted by the Bereaved Parents of SC, Georgetown, and Horry County Chapter.
On May 11, 2025, at 3 PM, we will gather at the Belin Memorial UMC Seawall Cross for a heartfelt tribute to the children, grandchildren, and siblings who now rest in heaven. As part of this meaningful ceremony, white carnations will be placed in the inlet—a symbol of motherly love and everlasting remembrance.
According to a Christian legend, carnations bloomed from the tears of Mary as she watched Jesus carry the cross. Today, white carnations continue to represent a mother’s enduring love, making them a fitting tribute to this special occasion.
We welcome all who have experienced loss to join us in unity, love, and remembrance.
